Assistant Plant Controller

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.

• Disciplined and detailed orientated with that ability to remain focused in a variety of settings and situations.
• Ability to pivot as business demands.
• Proficient in Excel and database applications. Overall, strong PC skills.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems.
• Willingness to move into other roles within the Finance Department to gain broad-based professional experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining accounting standards in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Working in tandem with team to develop, validate, and update costing models.
• Developing and analyzing variances to standard costs and budget.
• Monitoring and participating in cycle count program and yearend physical inventory.
• Assisting in inventory management and reporting to identify issues and resolve problems.
• Performing various accounting procedures, including but not limited to balance sheet reconciliations, reports, and journal entries.
• Assisting in month end close and help develop month end financial reporting package.
• Driving continuous improvement and procurement savings initiatives.
• Maintaining and improving capital expenditure, parts management, and capital asset register processes with Maintenance department.
• Assisting with year-end audit as well as any other audits as required.

Education/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or relevant field.
• Masters, CPA, CMA or any other continuing education preferred.
• 3-10 years’ experience working in related fields with a preference in a manufacturing environment.
