Position: Assembler
Location: Wallingford, CT.
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00/hr based on experience

- 3 Assembly Technicians – Day Shift
- Additionally sourcing:
- 1 RF&I Assembly candidate ($16.00 – $18.00/hr, lower-level)
- 2 OIS Assemblers (rates TBD)
Schedule (Effective August 4th)
This role follows a 2-2-3 rotating schedule:
- Day Shift (Teams 1 & 3): 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Night Shift (Teams 2 & 4): 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Runs Sunday through Saturday
- Every third rotation includes a 3-day weekend
- Schedule will remain in place through year-end, with a planned holiday shutdown
- Overtime:
- 8 hours of OT pay built into certain rotation weeks (applies to temps & permanent employees)
- Attendance Bonus:
- $500 for maintaining 85%+ attendance
- Bonus prorated for temps based on start date (relative to August 4th)
Position Summary
Assemblers perform the manual and semi-routine assembly of components according to work instructions, ensuring products meet quality standards and are prepared for shipment. This is an entry-level opportunity with training and room for growth in a structured manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of manual and semi-routine assembly tasks
- Read and interpret oral and written assembly instructions
- Use basic hand tools and packaging equipment to assemble and prepare products for shipping
- Complete production records as required
- Meet basic assembly and quality standards
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition
- Follow all safety rules, including chemical safety protocols
Supporting Skills
- Strong communication and ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to work occasional overtime
- Consistent attendance (per company policy)
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Understanding of KPIs and production targets
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Experience: Entry-level (training provided)
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
Specific Skills & Knowledge:
- Ability to assemble components per Tech Routing and M.O. Traveler instructions
- Ability to set up your workstation and equipment
- Knowledge of basic assembly standards
- Strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts and openness to continuous improvement
- Experience with basic cable or mechanical assembly preferred
- Awareness of quality standards, counterfeit prevention, and EHS policies (PPE, emergency procedures, etc.)
