Job Title: Part Time Hybrid HR Manager
Location: Stratford, CT Flexible Onsite schedule
Duration: Direct Hire
Salary: $55-60 Per Hour DOE
Description:
The Human Resource Manager will support the Company’s culture and values that are people oriented and mission driven, as well as being directly responsible for recruitment, recommending, developing, and administering HR programs, policies and procedures that support the Company’s goals.
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrates and promotes the Company’s Values and Codes of Behavior.
- Develops and manages departmental budgets including capital expenditures.
- Maintains knowledge and compliance with Wage & Hour Laws, and other local, state and federal laws and regulations regarding employees and employers.
- Serve as a company advocate to develop and maintain a highly engaged and productive workforce.
- Nurture a positive working environment.
- Annually reviews Employee Handbook and Policies with recommendations for updates if needed.
- Interfaces with Labor Attorney.
- Manages annual health insurance and benefits renewal process
- Provide managers with direction and coaching related to HR policies and employee relations.
- Maintain and update job descriptions as needed to reflect internal changes and external competitive and/or best practice issues.
- Develop and maintain a standard recruitment and hiring practice to support all departments and hiring managers.
- Coordinate the onboarding process of new employees (orientation, forms, benefits, payroll etc.).
- Maintain employee personnel files in an organized and effective manner.
- Manage Workers Compensation claims
- Manage unemployment filings and claims
- Develop, maintain and update as needed a Performance Management process.
- Support succession planning and talent movement.
- Assist with key development initiatives to ensure employees are properly trained and continually developing. Evaluate training needs and establish schedules to meet needs.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience in the chemical or manufacturing environment considered a plus.
- Minimum of five (5) years HR business experience
- Ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent presence and professionalism.
- Highly organized and attention to detail.
- Creative problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Stay current with and demonstrate Best Practices.
- Experienced in Project Management.
- Excellent computer skills.
