Full Time, direct hire
On site in CT 4 days/wk
$85-110K (based on experience) plus bonus
Skills: Documentation, gathering requirements, SQL, working with cross functional teams, UAT, , automation solutions, MS Office

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to collaborate with teams across trading, operations, technology, and business support functions to develop and implement impactful solutions. This role involves working with both in-house and third-party applications to enhance trading and employee services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with business teams at various locations to assess needs and convert them into functional requirements.
  • Design test cases, conduct comprehensive regression and performance testing, and oversee user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, document, and resolve system, reporting, or procedural inefficiencies.
  • Define critical project tasks and assess feasibility.
  • Support portfolio managers and performance measurement groups by providing ongoing technical assistance and training.
  • Develop and manage project plans, create user manuals, and lead training sessions.
  • Assist in drafting technical requirements and functional business specifications.
  • Work closely with business and technical teams to evaluate current processes and define future state processes.
  • Document process workflows and system functionalities using industry-standard methodologies, including flowcharts, swim lane diagrams, and entity-relationship diagrams.
  • Provide frontline support to business users during project implementation and ongoing post-deployment support.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with financial or trading systems in a technical or operational capacity.
  • Proven ability to analyze, implement, and support enterprise reporting technologies.
  • Strong project management experience with the ability to contribute as both an individual and a team leader.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse business teams in a problem-solving environment.
  • Familiarity with structured project management methodologies and best practices.
  • SQL

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with commodities trading, inventory management, or logistics.
  • Understanding of Futures & Options trading.
  • Familiarity with automation solutions such as RPA and Power Automate.

Additional Skills & Competencies:
  • Deep understanding of system development tools and methodologies.
  • Expertise in finance, accounting, IT, and trading operations.
  • Ability to assess business processes and develop IT-driven solutions.
  • Strong multitasking, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Experience conducting workshops, quality assurance testing, and user training.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
