This position follows a consistent 12-hour rotating shift on a DuPont-style schedule, alternating every two weeks between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, based on production needs. The DuPont schedule offers extended days off between shifts, allowing for better work-life balance and predictable time off throughout the month. More days off per year.

Job Summary:
To contribute to the goal of exceeding customers’ expectations by delivering competitive, quality amorphous metal products and services on time, every time. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and service to all electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, thermal/mechanical systems and equipment used in amorphous metal production.
Essential Job Functions:
Committed to working safely, maintaining clean and safe work areas, and following all safety procedures
Complies with pollution, toxic waste, and safety regulations and laws
Provides support and preventive maintenance for electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and thermal/mechanical systems
Repairs and maintains electrical/electronic systems including AC/DC drive systems, digital/analog circuitry, inverters, PLCs, lasers, power distribution systems
Maintains mechanical systems including cranes, balers, casting, winding, and packaging machines
Maintains troubleshooting guides and assists with failure analysis and writing work instructions/procedures
Uses CMMS system for predictive and proactive maintenance
Operates welding, cutting, and burning equipment as needed
Serves as a member of the emergency response team
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical schematics and manuals
Skilled in Allen-Bradley RSLogix 5, 500, and 5000 troubleshooting
Basic understanding of PLC communication networks
Ability to perform loop tuning for process optimization
Troubleshooting at board level of individual controllers
Able to work at heights and in confined spaces
Strong team collaboration and communication skills across all levels
Capable of leading problem-solving initiatives in operations
Must be able to use respirators and SCBA
Education, Training & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Industrial maintenance experience in electronics, electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and AC Inverters (required)
Proficient in using Allen-Bradley Logics 5, 500, and 5000 software (required)
Physical Requirements:
Must meet demands as outlined in the “Physical Demands Summary,” including the ability to lift, push, pull, climb, bend, and work in confined spaces and at heights
