Job Description

Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor
Location: Winsted, CT
Salary: $76,000 - $91,000
Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Duration: Direct Hire
Position Summary and Special Duties:
As a Manufacturing Supervisor, your day-to-day duties will consist of, but may not be limited to:
  • Direct the activities of the manufacturing floor to maximize personnel and equipment resources.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain to establish product priorities and communicate schedule changes to production teams.
  • Partner with Quality Control to maintain acceptable inspection standards and communicate results to the shop floor.
  • Analyze workflows and processes to reduce product cost while increasing output and quality.
  • Support and reinforce preventive maintenance initiatives across the facility.
  • Provide technical input for resolving plant-level production issues.
  • Lead and support environmental, health, and safety (EPA) initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process and product enhancements.
  • Assist in the execution and support of capital projects.
  • Lead special cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.
  • Maintain compliance with drawing control system and ISO/AS/Nadcap standards.
  • Ensure production lot traceability and manage nonconforming product.
  • Maintain compliance with the Tooling Control Program, approving necessary modifications.
  • Verify proper calibration of thermal processing equipment.
  • Review and approve fixture and basket designs used in heat treatment.
Job Specifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or Technology.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Strong structured problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience working with ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to safety and housekeeping.
  • Maintains confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
