Network Administrator Job Description

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities may include:

• Maintaining computer networks and systems including, Virtual Servers, Fortigate VPN, HPE/Aruba Switches and other physical hardware
• Installing network equipment such as Network Switches and Access Points
• Monitoring Network including LAN and WLAN to improve network performance for computer systems and networks
• Effectively Communicating networking issues to other employees and management
• Maintain network documentation including but not limited to network diagrams, configuration files, user guides, and pictures
• Fixing software and hardware configuration issues in Windows Servers (2008-2019)
• Work to ensure seamless integration between Client IT and Managed Services team.

Qualifications

The qualifications may include:

• Network+ or CCNA certification preferred or equivalent experience
• Experience with Active Directory, Fortigate Firewalls, LAN, and WLAN
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Prior experience working in a school district preferred
• Prior experience with MSP tools such as Connectwise Manage, Automate, and LogicMonitor preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with network security principles and best practices
