Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
DETAILS:
Duration: 6 months Contract temp to Permanent
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Salary: $26 - $33/hr depending on experience
Benefits: Option benefits cafeteria style until permanent
Shift: 1st Shift 7am -4pm.
We are currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector in Brooklyn, NY.
Responsibilities:
Perform Quality Control (QC) inspections on parts and sub-assemblies of rail cars.
Conduct visual inspections to ensure conformance to quality standards and identify non-conformances.
Follow engineering drawings, written procedures, and verbal/written instructions.
Use measuring instruments such as scales, tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and combination squares to inspect parts and equipment for proper installation on rail car bodies.
Proficient in using both English and Metric measurement systems.
Record inspection data and findings accurately in inspection reports and related documentation.
Demonstrate excellent mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Requirements:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a QC inspection role.
Ability to work independently and conduct final inspections on an entire rail car.
Proficiency with measuring instruments (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Ability to read, write, and speak English and interpret engineering drawings (blueprints).
Must be proficient in the English measurement system and able to learn the Metric system within a specified period.
Capable of working in an active manufacturing environment, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 40 lbs.

The work environment includes a combination of indoor and outdoor settings in an active manufacturing facility. Strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards is required to ensure a safe and productive workplace.
