- Senior Level: $100,000 - $160,000/year flexible to come up a bit. (10+ years of experience)
- Junior Level: $65,000 - $100,000/year (Less than 10 years of experience)
• Shift: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

We are currently seeking Senior and Junior Progressive Die Tool Designers in Shelton, CT.
Position Summary and Special Duties:
As a Progressive Die Tool Designer, your day-to-day duties will consist of, but may not be limited to:
Job Description:
• Design and develop progressive dies for metal stamping processes using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA software.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure designs meet manufacturing requirements and client specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies, material flow analyses, and ensure proper die functionality.
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of tooling components and assemblies.
• Optimize die designs for cost, quality, and manufacturability while adhering to project timelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to die design and implementation.
• Maintain design documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Senior Tool Designer Requirements:
• 10+ years of progressive die design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced expertise in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA for 3D modeling and design.
• Strong knowledge of metal stamping processes, material properties, and tool steel selection.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior designers and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Salary: $100,000 - $135,000/year depending on experience.
Junior Tool Designer Requirements:
• Less than 10 years of progressive die design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and some knowledge of CATIA software.
• Good understanding of metal stamping processes and tool design fundamentals.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under supervision and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Salary: $75000 - $100,000/year depending on experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Experience with sheet metal forming and secondary operations.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
Work Environment:
This position requires working on-site at Shelton, CT, in a manufacturing environment. Candidates must be comfortable working with machinery, tools, and equipment while adhering to strict safety protocols and quality standards.
