We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with expertise in LookML and SnowSQL to join our dynamic and innovative team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing data solutions, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of data for analytics and reporting purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Modeling and Architecture:

• Design and implement robust and scalable data models to support analytics and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to define data structures and relationships.

1. ETL Development:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse.
• Implement data cleansing and validation routines to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

1. Looker and LookML:

• Utilize Looker for creating and maintaining interactive and dynamic data visualizations and dashboards.
• Develop and optimize LookML models to enable efficient exploration and analysis of data.

1. Snowflake and SnowSQL:

• Manage and optimize Snowflake data warehouse environments.
• Write efficient SQL queries and scripts using SnowSQL for data extraction and transformation.

1. Data Integration:

• Integrate data from different sources, both internal and external, to create a unified and comprehensive view of the data.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure successful integration.

1. Performance Tuning:

• Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines and queries for efficiency and speed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing and storage.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on data modeling and ETL development.
• Strong proficiency in Looker and LookML for creating and maintaining data visualizations.
• Expertise in Snowflake data warehousing and SnowSQL for querying and scripting.
• Solid experience with ETL tools and processes.
• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with data integration and data quality best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with other BI tools and visualization platforms.
