• Duration: Contract to Hire
• Location: Wallingford, CT
• Salary: $24/hr
• Benefits: Optional Cafeteria style benefits for contractors; Radiall pays 95% of benefits once permanent.
• Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday
We are currently seeking a Test Technician in Wallingford, CT.
As a Test Technician, your day-to-day duties will consist of and may not be limited to:
Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate test equipment to perform functional, in-circuit, and environmental tests on PCBs and electronic assemblies.
• Interpret and follow test procedures, schematics, and technical documentation to ensure accurate and efficient testing.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot failures to the component level using test results, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Document and maintain detailed test records, failure reports, and corrective actions.
• Assist in developing and improving test processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve technical issues and optimize testing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, ISO requirements, and safety protocols.
Essential Skills:
• 2+ years of experience in PCB testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in using test sets, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other related tools.
• Strong understanding of electronic components, schematics, and PCB layouts.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience with RF and/or fiber optic testing is a plus.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 standards.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Basic measurement skills using both standard and metric systems.
• Ability to reason, analyze, and problem-solve effectively.
