Position Overview
We are seeking CNC Operators for a 1st shift temp-to-hire opportunity in Shelton, CT.
Candidates should have experience working in a manufacturing environment and operating CNC machinery. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a long-term position with the opportunity to become a permanent employee.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications
• Load and unload parts and materials
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings
• Perform basic machine setups and adjustments as needed
• Use measuring tools to verify part dimensions and tolerances
• Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy
• Monitor machines during production and identify potential issues
• Complete required production documentation
• Follow all safety and manufacturing procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous CNC machine operating experience preferred
• Manufacturing or machine shop experience
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using basic measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and willingness to learn
