Pay Range: $21–$24/hr Contract Temp to Permanent
Shift: 1st shift is 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Description
Operates Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment and 5DX X-ray machines to identify defects on circuit board assemblies. Ensures inspections meet company, customer, and industry quality standards while maintaining accurate defect logs and communicating issues to supervisors and programmers.
Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operate the 5DX X-ray inspection machine with proficiency
Recall and load appropriate programs for each work order
Inspect boards for defects, identify false calls, and record results accurately
Report inspection trends and issues to programmer for corrective actions
Communicate effectively in a professional and courteous manner
Solve minor problems independently and escalate larger issues to supervisors
Maintain attention to detail and organizational accuracy in fast-paced environment
Collaborate with team members and adapt positively to changing priorities
Contribute to a positive, safe work environment in compliance with MPI, OSHA, and SDS safety policies
Utilize MPI MIS (Aegis) software for inspection reporting and defect logging
Follow established procedures and maintain compliance with IPC-A-610 standards
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
0–3 years of industry experience or equivalent required
Basic component identification training required
IPC-A-610 Certification required
Proficiency with AOI/5DX inspection equipment and software (Aegis)
Ability to read and follow assembly and inspection instructions
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in a team environment
