Position Overview
We are seeking a Bencher to support MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) operations in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on inspection, deburring, and part finishing, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to work with tight tolerances.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with shop experience who takes pride in producing quality work.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Quality
- Perform visual inspection of parts for nicks, burrs, and defects; repair when possible
- Verify parts meet required tolerances using precision measuring tools
- Conduct first-run inspections and support rework as needed
Production & Finishing
- Operate equipment including jigs, fixtures, gauges, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
- Use deburr tools, hand tools, and grit blasters to finish and rework parts
- Make manual adjustments to bring parts within specification
Operations
- Follow detailed work instructions and determine proper work sequence
- Maintain quality standards in a fast-paced environment
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of experience in a production or shop environment
- Experience with inspection, deburring, or bench work preferred
- Ability to use basic math (fractions, decimals, percentages)
- Strong attention to detail and quality mindset
- Ability to follow complex instructions and work independently
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
