Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler I
Location: Beverly, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Position Overview
The Electro-Mechanical Assembler I is responsible for assembling and testing high-precision electro-mechanical products of varying complexity under supervision. This role focuses on producing quality work that meets customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal standards while maintaining productivity and a safe, organized manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly & Testing
Assemble assemblies, subassemblies, standard products, and custom units in accordance with regulatory, organizational, and procedural requirements.
Perform precise fitting, aligning, and adjusting of components requiring close tolerances and precision inspection.
Cut, strip, solder, crimp, and terminate small-gauge wire per specifications using hand and power tools.
Set up and test completed products using both automated and manual test methods to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
Quality & Process Support
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly manufacturing and laboratory environment.
Assist in the development and improvement of assembly procedures to support clarity, consistency, and product quality.
Instruct and support others in proper assembly and testing methods as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Technical or vocational training in electrical or electronics preferred
1–3+ years of experience in a precision electro-mechanical assembly environment
IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 training for electronic and cable/wire harness assemblies preferred
Basic computer skills required
Pay rate based on experience

Work Environment
This position operates in a dedicated laboratory within a professional manufacturing environment. Employees routinely use electrical test equipment, microscopes, standard hand tools, and some office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
Physical Requirements
The employee must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, move throughout the lab and shop floor, use a computer, and reach with hands and arms. The role requires strong manual dexterity for precision work and visual acuity (corrected) to read prints and inspect parts closely.
Physical demands include frequent sitting, standing, bending, reaching, and occasional squatting or kneeling. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision.
