Electro-Mechanical Test Technician
Location: Manchester, NH
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay Rate: Approximately $25–$27/hour (based on experience)
Type: Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Electronics Test Technician to support the testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic systems in a dynamic medical device Research & Development environment. This role is ideal for candidates with an Associate degree or technical background in Electronics Engineering Technology who enjoy working with laboratory equipment, executing test procedures, troubleshooting electronic systems, and documenting results in a highly innovative setting.
Key Responsibilities
As an Electronics Test Technician, you will:
  • Execute electrical and functional testing on electronic assemblies and finished products
  • Set up and operate laboratory test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and spectrum analyzers
  • Follow detailed test procedures and accurately document results
  • Support engineering teams with product verification, validation, and debugging activities
  • Record, communicate, and track test results, observations, and anomalies
  • Assist with failure analysis investigations and root cause determination
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of test procedures and fixtures
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure proper operation of laboratory test equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance and verification of test equipment to ensure measurement accuracy
  • Support testing activities at external contract laboratories by transporting and setting up equipment, monitoring device performance, and communicating with laboratory personnel
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree or Technical Certificate in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or a related technical discipline
  • Basic understanding of analog and digital electronics
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Experience using standard electronic test equipment such as digital multimeters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, and power supplies
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow structured test procedures

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced R&D environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Manual dexterity required for handling small electronic components and assemblies
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
