Overview
We are seeking a Failure Analysis Technician to join a leading medical device innovation company in Manchester, NH. In this role, you will support engineering and quality teams by investigating returned medical devices, identifying root causes of failures, and documenting findings within a regulated quality environment. This position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with advanced electromechanical medical products that are helping create life-changing technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Systematically process, sort, and prioritize returned medical products for evaluation.
Conduct failure analysis of returned medical products including reviewing logged activity data and performing physical evaluations.
Document product investigations within an FDA-compliant Quality Management System following good documentation practices.
Review and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and software description documents.
Maintain accurate records and tracking of returned products and related documentation.
Assist in maintaining procedures related to returned material evaluation.
Ensure laboratory and test equipment remains calibrated and ready for use.
Operate computer-based data acquisition and diagnostic equipment.
Support engineering and quality teams by providing clear documentation of findings and analysis results.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of work experience in a technical or laboratory environment.
Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience.
Hands-on troubleshooting experience with complex electromechanical devices.
Experience using basic laboratory test and measurement equipment.
Ability to perform basic data analysis and document findings clearly.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and evolving engineering environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks throughout the day.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
