Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Onsite Ansonia, CT
Type: Direct Hire First Shift 6:45 AM-3:15 PM
Salary: $28-32 per hour DOE Plus Excellent Benefits
70% Machine MMC and 30% Building MMC(Grounds, snow removal, electrical, carpentry)
Must be available to work occasionally on Saturday mornings
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair work on facility equipment, property structures, and building systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and electronic systems.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate maintenance procedures and policies.
- Conduct inspections of buildings and equipment, including after-hours emergency repairs when necessary.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as snow blowers, lawn mowers, and hand tools.
- Submit requisitions for maintenance materials and contracted services.
- Support facility operations and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Knowledge of production and inspection procedures and equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and facility maintenance.
- Commitment to workplace safety and OSHA compliance.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with injection molding equipment.
- Knowledge of building codes and OSHA regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISO 9001 and FDA cGMP knowledge preferred.
