Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Handler to support daily inventory, stockroom, shipping/receiving, and production material flow activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production schedules, and ensuring materials are properly received, transacted, staged, and delivered throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, ERP inventory transaction experience, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high levels of accuracy, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Receive, verify, and transact incoming and outgoing materials in the ERP system to ensure inventory accuracy
• Issue materials to production against shop orders and return unused materials back into inventory with proper transactions
• Maintain accurate real-time inventory movements between stockroom and production areas
• Perform general material handling activities including loading, unloading, sorting, and moving materials using appropriate equipment
• Verify shipment contents against documentation including packing slips, manifests, and work orders
• Organize, label, count, and inspect materials to support inventory control and traceability
• Support kitting activities and verify material availability prior to release to production
• Maintain and execute Kanban, Min-Max, and inventory replenishment systems
• Deliver materials to designated production areas in a timely manner to support production flow
• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant stockroom and staging areas
• Participate in cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation activities
• Communicate with Planning, Procurement, Quality, and Production teams regarding material discrepancies and operational needs
• Follow company safety procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements including FDA and ISO standards where applicable
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• 3–5 years of experience in inventory control, stockroom, or manufacturing material handling environments preferred
• Experience performing inventory transactions within an ERP system
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments, preferably medical device or regulated industries
• Working knowledge of FIFO, Kanban, and Min-Max inventory systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain inventory accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing production demands
• Safety and quality focused mindset
• Ability to frequently lift up to 45 lbs
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
