Mold maker
 
Position:
As a Mold maker, who will report directly to the Toolroom Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and managing several facets of mold making, mold repair and maintenance, tooling and fixtures including developing to ready for production status. 

Pay:  $40-$45 DOE
 
Key Goals:
Become a trusted and respected leader.  Achieve the system development performance goals on the Report Card (Efficiency, Cost savings and continuous improvement), assigned objectives related to company strategy, as well as working with the NPD and Project Management teams to successfully execute and launch new programs/strategies/systems for each.
Responsibilities:
  1. Lead by example and live the company Vision, Mission, Values and Strategy
  2. Show positive attitude and be a strong team player.
  3. Good attendance and on time to work.
  4. Be able to lift moderate loads regularly (under 40 lbs.)
  5. Drive for results and satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
  • Fabricate tooling to the highest standard and best practices.
  1. Look for opportunities for better tool building efficiency.
  2. Organize, prioritize, and plan accomplishment of multiple tasks.
  3. Mentor apprentice and mold makers/tool makers with less experience.
  4. Submit ideas for improvement and safety suggestions regularly.

Key Skills
  1. Proficient in Mold construction 
  2. Proficient on all toolroom machines.
  3. Proficient with a EDM sinker.
  4. Proficient Surface grinder. 
  5. Proficient on all toolroom machines.
  6. Proficient with common measuring tools.
  7. Basic computer skills.
  8. Solid documentation skills.
  9. Blueprint reading and understanding of GD&T
Key Experience 
  1. Minimum 5 years’ experience mold and/or tool making.
  2. Working to tight tolerances.
  3. Experience with PFMEA a plus
  4. Experience with molding machines a plus
  5. Some knowledge of tooling design a plus
