Pay:
OIS Assembly:
$20/hr on contract.
($21-$22 upon conversion)

Benefits: Optional cafeteria-style benefits available for contractors
Shift: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented OIS Assembly Operator to join our manufacturing team in Wallingford, CT. This position is responsible for assembling fiber optic cables and related products while maintaining high quality and production standards in a clean manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has experience with small parts assembly, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in producing quality products.
Responsibilities
  • Follow established assembly instructions for fiber optic cables and products.
  • Assemble small components using hand tools and precision techniques.
  • Maintain established production quotas while meeting quality standards.
  • Use hand tools including wire cutters, wire strippers, crimpers, rulers, and other assembly equipment.
  • Obtain an intermediate understanding of assembly tools and their proper use.
  • Learn component identification and fiber optic product knowledge.
  • Measure using both standard and metric systems and utilize conversion tools as needed.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure accuracy and workmanship.
  • Report production issues, quality concerns, or delays to production management.
  • Use basic problem-solving skills to identify issues and recommend improvements.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of small parts assembly experience (electrical, wiring, cable assembly, or electronics preferred).
  • Experience using hand tools such as wire cutters, strippers, crimpers, and measuring devices.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Good manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Basic measurement skills using both standard and metric systems.
  • Basic English skills with the ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Strong reasoning and analytical skills.
  • Must be ITAR compliant.
  • Highly dependable with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and team-oriented mindset.
