Documentation / QA Specialist
Location: Ansonia, CT (Onsite)
Schedule: First Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM
Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $26-$28/hour DOE + Excellent Benefits
About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with paperwork, documentation, and manufacturing records. This position focuses primarily on reviewing production paperwork, maintaining quality records, and ensuring documentation is complete and accurate. Some basic inspection work is also involved.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing documentation, quality documentation, production support, or inspection experience.
Responsibilities
- Review completed job packets for accuracy and completeness
- Verify production paperwork before closing work orders
- Close Job Travelers in the ERP system
- Review incoming inspection paperwork and material certifications
- Ensure production labels are accurate
- Verify material transfers for production jobs
- Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) records
- Prepare customer documentation including Certificates of Conformance (COCs) and Material Certifications
- Perform basic inspections using measuring tools when needed
- Work closely with production, shipping, and quality teams to ensure documentation is complete
- Assist with other documentation and quality-related tasks as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of manufacturing, production, quality, documentation, or inspection experience
- Experience working with ERP or MRP systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable reviewing paperwork and entering information into computer systems
- Ability to read work instructions and manufacturing documents
- Basic blueprint reading preferred
- Experience using basic inspection tools such as calipers, gauges, or optical comparators is a plus
- Microsoft Office experience
Preferred Experience
- Manufacturing environment
- Injection molding experience is a plus but not required
- Experience with production documentation, work orders, travelers, or quality paperwork
Education
High School Diploma or GED required.
