Job Title: QA Supervisor
Location: Onsite Ansonia, CT
Type: Direct Hire First Shift 6:45AM -3:15PM
Salary: $30-35 per hour DOE Plus Excellent Benefits
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily inspections and assign work priorities within the Quality Control Inspector team.
- Ensure quality documentation, product inspections, and product release activities meet established quality requirements.
- Assist quality management in identifying and resolving product defects.
- Support the management and evaluation of customer returns, nonconforming materials, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and process changes.
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving quality control systems, procedures, and protocols.
- Perform inspections using a variety of inspection equipment, including hand gauges and optical comparators.
- Mentor, train, and provide guidance to Quality Shift Inspectors.
- Make informed quality decisions using sound quality principles and established procedures.
- Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
- Participate as a member of the internal quality auditing team.
- Support and participate in internal, customer, ISO, FDA, and third-party audits.
- Coordinate, schedule, and conduct GMP training for employees and temporary staff.
- Provide additional support to the Quality department as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and FDA cGMP requirements.
- Excellent English communication and reading comprehension skills.
- Thorough understanding of quality inspection methods, manufacturing processes, and quality documentation.
- Ability to select and utilize appropriate inspection tools and equipment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Minitab.
Education
- Associate degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance or related manufacturing quality experience.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. Manage 4 people.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, quality procedures, and customer quality requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to identify quality issues, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
