Job Title: Quality Inspector – CMM (Zeiss / Calypso)

Position Summary and Special Duties
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in performing precision inspections using Zeiss CMM equipment and Calypso software. This hands-on position focuses on setting up, programming, and operating wire CMM machines, inspecting high-precision components, and accurately documenting results.
Your day-to-day duties will include, but may not be limited to:
- Program and run Zeiss CMM systems using Calypso software
- Write inspection programs using solid part models
- Set up and operate wire CMM machines to inspect precision components
- Perform dimensional inspections using dial indicators, micrometers, height gauges, comparators, microscopes, and other manual metrology tools
- Scan and measure parts to verify conformance to drawings and specifications
- Generate and maintain accurate inspection documentation and reports
- Maintain CMM equipment and perform basic troubleshooting as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in all inspections
Job Specifications
- Ability to program and run Zeiss CMM machines using Calypso (required or strongly preferred)
- Experience with wire CMM equipment and metrology fundamentals
- Previous background in inspection, machining, manufacturing, or a precision environment
- Strong ability to interpret blueprints, GD&T, and solid models
- High attention to detail with accuracy in measurement and documentation
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with engineering as needed
- Competent using manual inspection tools (indicators, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
