Quality Mechanical Inspector – 1st Shift
Location: Merrimack, NH (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour (starting rate; final pay may vary based on skill evaluation – not guaranteed)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE
The Quality Mechanical Inspector is responsible for inspecting the quality of in-process, final, and incoming materials. This position requires precision measurement, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex drawings and quality documentation. The inspector will support production and quality teams to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory standards, performing both dimensional and visual inspections with accuracy and consistency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform dimensional and visual inspections of incoming, in-process, and final products.
Accurately document inspection results and maintain inspection records.
Evaluate parts and assemblies against blueprints, specifications, and tolerances.
Operate and maintain inspection equipment including Optical Comparator and CMM.
Support calibration and documentation of inspection tools.
Maintain sample collections and ensure traceability of materials.
Assist in training new employees and shadowing inspection processes.
Follow all company and regulatory quality standards (ISO, FDA, etc.).
Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers, height gages, microscopes, and other precision measuring tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Experience with Optical Comparator, Toolmaker’s Mic, pin gages, and related tools.
Prior inspection or quality control experience required.
Cleanroom, ISO, and FDA-regulated environment experience is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
Strong communication skills across departments.
Ability to determine tolerances and specifications from printed documents.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Reliable and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Good documentation practices (GDP).
Proper use of inspection equipment including CMM and Toolmaker’s Mic.
IQMS functions (MRB, drawings, QMS transactions, and scanning to next operation).
Visual rejection standards.
Calibration and traceability procedures.
Retains handling and documentation standards.
