Rail Car Technician – 5 Openings
Location: Arch Street – Long Island City, NY
Pay: $26/hr
Duration: 6-Month Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, flexible hours depending on project needs
We are currently seeking 5 Rail Car Technicians for a long-term opportunity in Long Island City, NY.
Electrical wiring experience is required. Candidates need hands-on experience with wire harnesses, cable routing, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
Assemble wire harnesses and terminate wire ends.
Route cables and wiring based on drawings and schematics.
Read and troubleshoot electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Perform soldering and electrical connections.
Troubleshoot wiring issues and perform repairs.
Perform mechanical assembly and repairs as needed.
Read and work from blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation.
Use hand, power, electrical, and pneumatic tools.
Required Experience
Electrical wiring experience is required.
Experience working with wire harnesses.
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.
Experience in rail, avionics, military, automotive, aerospace, electrical assembly, or electro-mechanical work is a strong fit.
