Description
Operates SMT equipment including screen printer, paste inspection, pick and place, and reflow oven. Works in conjunction with group leader, setup personnel, and parts coordinator to run jobs as directed by the supervisor in a high-mix manufacturing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operate and monitor SMT production equipment (screen printer, paste inspection, pick and place, reflow oven)
Communicate effectively in a professional and courteous manner with team members and supervisors
Solve minor problems independently and escalate larger issues to supervisor as needed
Demonstrate strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work under time pressure
Collaborate as part of a team and adapt positively to change
Contribute to a positive, safe work environment in compliance with OSHA, SDS, and company policies
Maintain proficiency with Microboard MIS (Aegis) software
Adhere to safety and ESD requirements in the SMT area
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Level I Distinction:
Perform basic SMT assembly tasks under moderate supervision with accuracy and efficiency
Load/print/unload screen printer and paste inspection machines
Load/operate/unload pick and place machine
Demonstrate knowledge of feeders
Load/unload reflow oven
0–3 years of industry experience or equivalent required
Level II Distinction:
Perform complex SMT tasks with little supervision, high accuracy, and high speed
Perform daily machine maintenance and setup/tear down
Setup screen printer, stencils, feeders, and load/edit machine programs
Demonstrate working knowledge of Fuji-tracks and oven profiling
Analyze and interpret production management data
Manage inventory for SMT projects
1–5 years of industry experience or equivalent
IPC-A-610 Certification preferred
Proficiency in hand placement of complex components
Capable of training and supervising other operators
