Job Title: Shop Floor Janitor

Overview:
Our client in Beverly, MA is seeking a Shop Floor Janitor for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of janitorial experience, strong facility maintenance skills, and the ability to work independently. This position reports to the Facility Maintenance Supervisor and plays a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and functional shop environment.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on facility and equipment
Dispose of metal scrap and maintain machine tool coolant and lubrication levels
Maintain overall cleanliness and safe operation of the facility
Use janitorial equipment (floor scrubbers, buffers, etc.)
Handle basic plumbing, carpentry, demolition, and painting tasks
Troubleshoot equipment issues and conduct basic repairs
Maintain janitorial supplies and follow safety procedures
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
5+ years of janitorial or facility maintenance experience
Basic arithmetic skills
Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, squatting, bending, and twisting
Skilled in operating and maintaining janitorial and shop equipment (e.g., forklift, scissor lift)
Experience with HVAC, oil mist extractors, and machine tools is a plus
