Salary: $62,000 – $70,000 (Based on experience)

Overview
The Spa & Wellness Manager is responsible for the overall management, development, and growth of spa operations and wellness programming. This role leads and motivates the spa team to deliver a high level of guest service while maintaining luxury standards, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Currently, services include facials and massage therapy, with a strong focus on expanding wellness programs, workshops, and retreats for leisure guests, group events, and employees. This is a leadership role suited for someone who can both run day-to-day operations and build future-facing wellness initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Spa Operations & Program Development
Oversee daily operations of spa and wellness facilities
Develop year-round and seasonal wellness programs, retreats, and workshops
Expand wellness offerings beyond current facials and massage services
Collaborate with Culinary leadership to create healthy food and lifestyle options
Coordinate facility schedules to maximize usage and efficiency
Perform routine inspections of spa equipment to ensure proper functionality
Leadership, Staffing & Training
Recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop spa staff
Schedule staff and oversee labor planning
Verify staff credentials, certifications, and compliance requirements
Establish service and retail goals and coach staff toward achievement
Lead by example with professionalism, work ethic, and guest engagement
Financial & Administrative Management
Establish departmental budgets and financial goals
Assist with annual operating, equipment, and capital expenditure budgets
Track daily cash flow, prepare deposits, and generate financial reports
Inventory retail and operational products; order supplies as needed
Maintain client databases and appointment scheduling systems
Guest Experience & Service Excellence
Respond to guest inquiries, feedback, and service recovery situations
Train staff on service standards, product knowledge, and upselling
Maintain a consistently high level of guest satisfaction and engagement
Compliance, Safety & Professional Standards
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations
Maintain professional appearance and enforce departmental dress code
Participate in continuing education to stay current with industry trends
Attend operational meetings to ensure goals and budgets are met
Qualifications
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
1–3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in spa or wellness management
Experience with employee management, budgeting, payroll, and scheduling
Experience developing wellness programs preferred
Licensing
Skills & Abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong leadership, organization, and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability and willingness to upsell services and retail products
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and move for extended periods (8–10 hours)
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 30 lbs
Work performed in both indoor and outdoor environments
Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and weather conditions
Physical demands consistent with spa and wellness operations
