Position Overview
The Sr. Product Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating production schedules to support manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with Operations, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Production to ensure customer commitments are met while maintaining throughput, efficiency, and material readiness.
Core Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and communicate production schedules using ERP/MRP systems.
Ensure schedules are accurately reflected in ERP systems and production communication boards.
Track jobs from launch through completion and support operations with expediting as required.
Assist production supervisors with level loading work centers, balancing lines, and maintaining throughput targets.
Maintain Line-of-Balance tracking for critical programs.
Track performance against monthly forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.
Serve as the liaison between Operations and Customer Service to ensure accurate delivery dates and timely communication of delays.
Analyze component consumption rates and maintain system parameters and safety stock levels.
Work closely with Purchasing to align vendor delivery dates with production requirements.
Ensure incoming orders, shipments, material transactions, and logistics activities are completed accurately and on time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
5+ years of production scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment (Aerospace strongly preferred).
ERP/MRP experience required; Syteline 9 experience strongly preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Power BI experience is a plus.
Proven ability to prioritize workload, resolve conflicts, and meet deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-changing, dynamic environment.
Ability to work effectively across multiple departments in a team-oriented setting.
