Position: Test Technician
Location: Wallingford, CT
Type: Contract-to-Hire (4 months temp-to-perm)
Pay: $22–$24/hr (based on experience)**
This role follows a 2-2-3 rotating schedule:
Day Shift (Teams 1 & 3): 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Night Shift (Teams 2 & 4): 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Schedule runs Sunday through Saturday
Every third rotation includes a 3-day weekend

Position Summary
The Test Technician will perform production testing, troubleshoot issues, and maintain specialized equipment and tooling in the production area. This role requires strong knowledge of electronics, test equipment, and manufacturing processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and conduct tests on completed units and components under operational conditions
Analyze test results and adjust equipment to meet design specifications
Record test procedures, results, and numerical/graphical data
Recommend improvements to test methods and processes
Use and maintain tools/equipment including oscilloscopes, power meters, RF equipment, microscopes, and computerized test systems
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve testing and production efficiency
Ensure compliance with customer specifications, safety, and environmental standards
Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Entry-level to 3 years of electronics or PCB testing experience
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Familiarity with oscilloscopes, optical switches, power meters, RF equipment, and diagnostic tools
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues at the component level
Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and production documentation
Knowledge of Tx/Rx channels, connector orientation, and inspection practices
Proficiency with English/metric measurements (inches & mm)
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles
