Job Title: Test Technician
Location: Wallingford, CT
Pay Rate: $24/hr for 1st shift and $3hr shift differential for 3rd shift.(Based on Experience)
Type: 3-Month Contract-to-Hire (Temp-to-Perm)
Schedules & Shifts
1st 7-3:30pm and 3rd shifts.
Position Overview
The Test Technician will perform production testing, troubleshoot issues, and maintain specialized equipment and tooling in the production area. This role requires strong knowledge of electronics, test equipment, and manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance with customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and conduct tests on completed units and components under operational conditions
Analyze test results and adjust equipment to meet design specifications
Record test procedures, results, and numerical/graphical data
Recommend improvements to test methods and processes
Use and maintain tools and equipment including oscilloscopes, power meters, RF equipment, microscopes, and computerized test systems
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve testing processes and production efficiency
Ensure compliance with customer specifications, safety standards, and environmental requirements
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
0–3 years of electronics or PCB testing experience
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues at the component level
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Preferred Experience
Familiarity with oscilloscopes, optical switches, power meters, RF equipment, and diagnostic tools
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and production documentation
Knowledge of Tx/Rx channels, connector orientation, and inspection practices
Comfortable working with both English and metric measurements (inches & mm)
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles

3rd shift Differential -Temps: +$3.00/hour
